Photo Electric Proximity Switches or sensors are
primarily used when the object to be sensed is metallic or non metallic.
Photo Electric Sensors are available in three types.
1. DIFFUSED TYPE These Type of Proximity Switches are containing emitter and receiver in one unit. When the emitter emit the infrared signal which is reflected from the surface of the object to be detected and received by the receiver and this will change the output stage. 2. THROUGH BEAM TYPE These Type of Proximity Swithes contain seperate Emitter and receiver, when emitter emit the infrared signal and continously received by the receiver when an object comes in between the emitter and receiver the signal break and change the output signal.
